TUTORING


Dear Parents,

The Tutoring School Improvement Committee is sponsoring an 
After School Tutoring Program.
We plan to have tutors available every Tuesday from 3:00 to 3:45 PM to assist students in all subjects.

Please indicate below if you would be interested in having your child attend this program and list the subjects in which help is needed.

If you are interested in volunteering to help as a Tutor, please notify the Tutoring Committee Chairperson by calling the main office (380-9181)

Please note that we will need a commitment from you and your child in order to ensure that your child’s needs are being met.     62% of our students who attended after school tutoring raised their GPA from the first quarter to the second quarter. After school tutoring is open to any MMS student who is signed up by their parent. Tutors include High School Honor Society (NHS) members, Middle School Junior Honor Society (NJHS) members, Middle School Future Educators of America (FEA) members, parents and teachers.

    Regular attendance at Tutoring paid even bigger dividends for the students, as those who attended 75% of the time, or more, raised their GPA .32 compared to .16 raise for all the Tutoring students.
